Meson de Tulum Hostel Review

Meson de Tulum is a great hostel. It's use of indigenous wood and its nice swimming pool make it very unique. Jen & I have not stayed here (yet) but have visited a friend (Jean-Francois) who stayed there & seemed to like it. The staff are very friendly. Rates are fair & we were offered a Tahitian-style room for 4500 pesos/month (including drinking water & daily breakfast).

Their pool here may be the nicest hostel pool in all of Mexico.

The grounds are beautiful...

The rooms we saw have a funky Tahitian theme...

And the kitchen is a fun place to hang out.

Accommodation Information


Shared hostel with shared bathroom are 2 large bedrooms, which are separated by gender, one female and one male. We have mixed dorms.

It is a single room with 1 double bed and is located on the second floor of our beautiful palapa.


Private room with private bathroom and air conditioning. 
It has 1 double bed and one single plus cable TV.

We are located in the AV.TULUM between the AV. Uxmal and Chichen-Itza


The beach is 15 minutes by bus to the beach
We are located in the center of the city, two blocks from the bus station.
The market 28 is 5 minutes walk where you can buy souvenirs or eat Mexican cuisine.
