Brunch is 75 pesos. And you get 100 pesos in free credits to blow on slots. At least, that's what most people do...
Jen & I, however, usually stop playing after we've converted our free credits into cash. Today, after running through our free credits, we both left with more money than we started with: I left with 125 pesos & Jen left with 230! So we got free brunch & "earned" another 200 pesos! Sweet.
Here's the funny thing....
We've been going every Saturday & Sunday, & since we started keeping track, Jen has almost always left with more money than she started with. I, on the other hand, almost always left with a lot less.
One day, after a particularly brutal result, I vowed to cut up my card (the slot machines all use card-readers) & get a new one. I didn't keep that vow. Nope. When I got home... I burned it instead!
Bad luck? Good riddance! |
I also did a little dance & said a little prayer to Cha Ching, who I like to imagine is the Mayan god of gambling!
Anyway, my incantations & ablutions & gyrations (& should I have used some potions?) seem to have worked. I've used the new card twice: today, and last Tuesday, when we converted 100 free credits into 185. So we're on a roll...
Of course, I know slots are for suckers, & I'm not superstitious, but when this card stops winning (as I know it will), I'll be having a little bonfire. And I'll start it using some Mayan matches (available at Walmart for a peso a pack :)
